According to the latest report of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) data, India has risen a notch above the average GDP per person to 126th place. However, it is still down compared to his BRICS counterparts. In the list of funds, the mineral oil finished Qatar is at the top position. This ranking has been released on data based on the purchasing power parity of the International Monetary Fund on October 2017. 

The average GDP per capita in India has increased to $ 7,170 this year from $ 6,690 last year and it reached 126th rank. Interestingly, according to the Credit Suisse report recently, there are 2.45 lakh millionaires in India and the total domestic wealth of the country is $ 5000 billion.

Qatar is the richest country in 2017 with a GDP of $ 1,24,930 per person. This is followed by Macau (per capita GDP-1,14,430 dollars) and Luxembourg ($ 1,09,109).

In BRICS countries, India's position is lowest in terms of average GDP per capita. In Russia, the average GDP per person is $ 27,900, while in China it is $ 16,620, $ 15,500 in Brazil and the average GDP per person in South Africa is $ 13,400. Singapore ($ 90,530) in the top 10 countries, Brunei ($ 76,740) on the fifth, Ireland ($ 72,630) on the sixth, Norway (70,590 dollars) on the seventh, Kuwait (USD 69,670) on the eighth, United Arab Emirates on the eighth ($ 68,250), Switzerland at 10th ($ 61,360).
