India keen on improving equations with Indonesia

 INS Shakti and INS Kamorta, the Indian Navy's Eastern squadron ships have reached the Port of Makassar in Indonesia for a three-day visit intended at strengthening the maritime equations between the two navies regarding the security and stability in the waters.
Rear Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, NM, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet, have accompanied the squadron ships as heads. This visit is a part of the operation of India's 'Act East' policy.
In the previous year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid a visit to Indonesia for the progress and improvement of the mutual relationship to an inclusive deliberate partnership.
Modi and the Navy officials aim to improve their terms with the Indonesian authorities.
INS Shakti and INS Kamorta are about to conclude their two-month implementation operation in South East Asia and Western Pacific Ocean.

MALABAR-18 is also involved for the venture between the Indian Navy, US Navy and the Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) which was discussed at Guam which is an Island territory of the US in the Pacific Ocean.
Along with the two Eastern squadron ships, INS Sahyadri had departed from the Visakhapatnam port on the 30th of  April and then visited Singapore, Sattahip (Thailand), Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia), DA Nang (Vietnam), and Guam (U.S.A) in the months of  May and June.
INS Sahyadri has progressed towards Hawaii to participate in the RIMPAC event in which 26 other navies shall also be participating after the Malabar meet at Guam.
