Amaravati: The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted moderate to heavy rains in many parts of Andhra Pradesh state including Telangana today and tomorrow. The officials of the Meteorological Department have advised the farmers and people to be alert in the event of possible rain. A low pressure has been predicted in North Andaman Sea on 10th of this month, which is likely to move towards the northern coasts of South Odisha in about 4 to 5 days. It is also said that a surface basin formed in the east central Arabian Sea over south central Karnataka and Rayalaseema extends from the surface periodicity to the coastal region and extends to the west central Bay of Bengal.

Therefore, due to the effect of this surface periodicity, the Meteorological Department observed moderate rains on Thursday in many districts of the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon has subsided over some other parts of India and is expected to move out of Telangana and AP in the next ten days.
