New Delhi: China periodically comments on Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to please its evergreen friend Pakistan. China did the same thing in the UN. On which India has retaliated by expressing displeasure. China Foreign Minister Wang Yi raised the Kashmir issue at the UN General Assembly, saying that the dispute should be addressed peacefully and appropriately in accordance with the UN Charter, Security Council resolutions and bilateral agreements.
China, a close ally of Pakistan, insisted that no action should be taken unilaterally and that there would be a change in the status quo. On this, India's Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar has said that Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh are an integral part of India and also said that the recent developments related to the area is a completely internal matter for the country.
Kumar said that China is well aware of India's position that Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh are an integral part of India and the recent developments are completely internal to us. "We hope that other countries will respect India's sovereignty and territorial integrity and avoid attempts to change the status quo in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir through the illegal so-called China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)," he said. A Foreign Ministry spokesman said that India hoped that other countries would respect India's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Let us tell you that on August 5, India abolished Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.
