India -Pakistan shares list of nuclear installations

New Delhi: Pakistan on the very first day of New year means Tuesday shared a list of its nuclear installations and facilities with India as agreed upon in the provisions of a bilateral accord. Pakistan’s Foreign Office stated that the list was handed over in accordance with Article-II of the Agreement on Prohibition of Attacks Against Nuclear Installations and Facilities between two rival nations which was inked on December 31, 1988

"The list of nuclear installations and facilities in Pakistan was officially handed over to a representative of the Indian High Commission at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, at 1000 hrs (local time)," the official statement read.

Ministry of External Affairs also handed over the list of Indian Nuclear Installations and Facilities to a representative of the Pakistan High Commission stated the FO.

The bilateral accord which was inked on December 31, 1998 came to force on Januray 27, 1991. It offers that the Both India and Pakistan shall update each other of nuclear installations and facilities to be covered under the pact,  on the first of January of every calendar year.

In spite of the straining bilateral-relationship, the two nations have maintained the practice of exchanging lists of nuclear installation.  The practice has been maintained since Januray 1, 1992 ever since it was put into effect.
