The two countries will sign a $375 million deal to purchase supersonic missiles for the Philippines Navy. The deal will be signed at an event to be held at the Philippines' National Defense Department in Quezon City. Among those who attended the ceremony will be Philippines Defence Secretary Delphine Lorenzana. Let us know that the Government of India wants to become self-reliant as well as improve the situation in the business of defence equipment. The move will further strengthen India's efforts to become an exporter of large arms. At the same time, it may open the way for Southeast Asian countries to acquire missiles jointly developed by India and Russia.
On January 14, the Philippines signed a $374 million deal with BrahMos Aerospace to supply anti-ship missiles to be deployed ashore for its Navy.
