New Delhi:  The postal departments of India and Canada have recently forged a groundbreaking partnership to launch the International Tracked Packet Service (ITPS) between the two nations. This innovative service aims to streamline and expedite e-commerce exports, as stated in an official release by India's Ministry of Communications.

The ITPS is a cutting-edge solution designed to cater to the cross-border shipping requirements of e-commerce exporters, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), small businesses, and merchants. By leveraging local post offices, this competitive service ensures efficient transmission and delivery of packets, empowering exporters to promote their products internationally.

India Post, which already offers this service to 38 partner countries, welcomes Canada as its 39th addition. This expansion is part of India Post's ongoing commitment to enhance global connectivity and facilitate seamless trade.

Significantly broadening its reach, India Post extended the ITPS service from 16 to 38 countries, including prominent nations such as Britain, France, UAE, Egypt, and Oman, starting from June 1, 2023. The details of countries with ITPS service and tariffs are available on the India Post website.

We have ensured that the ITPS rates remain highly competitive when compared to other international shipping options like International EMS (Speed Post) and similar market products. To provide an affordable shipping solution to exporters, the postage for the initial 50 grams is set at Rs 400, with an additional charge of Rs 35 for every subsequent 50 grams. Furthermore, this service offers attractive benefits, including pickup services and volume-based discounts for contractual customers.
