India raise complaint against Pakistani intelligence agencies for  High Commission staff

Islamabad: India has raised a complaint against Pakistani intelligence agencies of threatening two members of its High Commission in Islamabad last week.

The action comes days after a woman in Delhi filed a complaint against a staff member of Pakistan High Commission for allegedly touching her inappropriately.

As per the reports,  the Indian High Commission in Islamabad have sent a note verbale to Pakistan’s Foreign Office regarding the incident. The note mentioned that two staffers of the Indian High Commission were intercepted and threatened by Pakistani agency personnel at the premises of high-security diplomatic enclave on January 15.

The note verbale said, On January 15, at 10 am, while going from the High Commission to the World Mart market in Diplomatic Enclave, two of members of staff of this mission, were intercepted by Pakistani agency personnel and questioned them about the alleged incident with a Pakistan High Commission official in India in January . Further, they threatened mission officials that they would reciprocate in the same way.  It also  urged Pakistan’s foreign ministry to investigate the matter to prevent the occurrence of such an incident in the future.
