New Delhi: India's position has improved in the Global Innovation Index 2021 rankings. This is news of relief for the country recovering from the corona epidemic. India has jumped two places in this ranking. Tell you that During the last seven years of the Modi government, India has made great progress in this index.

India has improved two places to 46th this year in the index released by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). India is constantly improving its position under the Modi government in this index. India was ranked 81st in the index in 2015. Since then, India has now moved up to the 46th position, making steady progress in the index. NITI Aayog said in a statement, "Innovation has been like an advance hand impermanence for us in tackling the unprecedented epidemic crisis and has an important role to play in advancing self-reliance in the country."

According to media reports, WIPO said the ranking is proof of excellent work by government and private research institutions and a better startup ecosystem. Scientific departments like the Department of Atomic Energy, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Biotechnology and Department of Space have played an important role in strengthening India's National Innovation Ecosystem.
