Geneva: In a scathing attack on Pakistan for raising the Kashmir issue at the United Nations, India said constructive contributions cannot be expected from a country that has an established practice of hosting terrorists, which is the "centre" of international terrorism and the largest force to destabilize the world.

A. Amarnath, counsellor at India's Permanent Mission to the United Nations, said India does not need advice from a country that has a well-known history of illegal exports of nuclear materials and technology. Amarnath further said, "We should collectively condemn Pakistan's efforts to violate the purity of multilateral forums and fuel lies. Pakistan has levelled a number of meaningless and baseless allegations against India, including comments on Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Union Territories. They are not worthy of reacting, as they relate to India's internal affairs.''

Pakistan's envoy to the United Nations (UN), Munir Akram, raised the issue of Jammu and Kashmir during a meeting of the General Assembly Committee on Disarmament and Global Security Issues. To which, India used its right-to-reply. Amarnath said the entire Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir was, and will continue to be an integral and indivisible part of India.
