While the handset is already up for grabs outside India, Nextbit couldn't launch the smartphone in India until now due to impending BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) approval from the government.

Today it has announced that it has received the regulatory approval from the government and will start shipping the device to Kickstarter backers starting from next week. And for the general buyers, the device will officially launch in India later this month, but the date and availability are yet to be known. Let’s check the specifications once again.
