Bangalore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the National Green Hydrogen Mission would give a new pathway to India in the 21st century.

Addressing the crowd at the India Energy Week 2023 event, in Bangalore, Karnataka, the Prime minister said, "We are working on mission mode to heighten our Energy Mix Natural Gas Consumption by the year 2030. Apart from this, another sector in which India is taking the lead in the world is that of green hydrogen.", the PM remarked. "Like me, you also  must be feeling the youthful energy here," PM stated while adding that this is the first significant energy event of India's G-20 Presidency calendar.

Prime Minister lauded Bangalore for "brimming" with the energy of technology, talent and innovation."The National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM) will give a new direction to India in the 21st century," PM added.

India has unparalleled opportunities in the field of energy sector development. India stands tall as regards the processes of development of energy resources and energy transition; this will truly build a great future for the nation in the 21st century, he further stated.

He commended the nation for surviving the COVID-19-caused pandemic and claimed that regardless of the "external circumstances," India's "internal strength" had maintained her standing firm even amid the storms.

He continued, "Despite the consequences of the pandemic and the war, India has been a global bright spot in 2022." "For crores of people in India, the quality of life has changed today. Today, millions of individuals are escaping poverty and rising to the middle class", he said.

The PM  said that the country's strength was the result of a number of factors, including a "Stable Decisive Government," "Sustained Reforms," and "Socio-economic Empowerment at the Grassroots Levels."

At the India Energy Week 2023 event in Bangalore, Karnataka, PM Modi introduced the Indian Oil twin-cooktop variant of the solar cooking equipment.
