New Delhi: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will receive the first Rafale fighter aircraft for the country today. In Bordeaux, France, he will perform arms worship on the occasion of Dussehra and fly in a Rafael jet. On Tuesday afternoon, Rajnath Singh held a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris. He then left for Burdox.

According to Indian time, the ceremony will be held at Bordeaux at 4:30 pm, in which the first Rafale jet will be handed over to India. On reaching Paris on Monday, Rajnath Singh tweeted that, 'Happy to reach France. This great country is an important strategic partner of India and our special relationship goes beyond the domain of formal relations. The goal of my visit to France is to expand the current strategic partnership between the two countries. '

After an interview with Macron at the Elsie Palace in Paris, the French capital, Singh will travel to the southwestern French city of Bordeaux where he will participate in the handing over of the first Rafale fighter aircraft purchased by the Indian Air Force. This program will be on the foundation day and Dussehra day of the Indian Army. On this occasion, the traditional 'Shastra Puja' has been arranged at the airbase. Arms worship is part of Dussehra.
