New Delhi: The second wave of the corona has slowed down across the country and infection cases are also declining. However, due to the possibilities of the third wave, there is a lot of emphasis on corona vaccination in the country and millions of people are being vaccinated every day. It is the government's endeavor to immunize the entire population at the earliest to prevent the damage caused by corona.
According to the Union Health Ministry, more than 88.13 lakh people in the country were given corona vaccine supplements on Monday, the highest ever immunization figure in a day. More than 55.47 crore doses of the corona vaccine have been given in India so far. The official report says that 55.47 crore doses of vaccine have been given to citizens through 62,12,108 sessions.
The total vaccination figure in India has now gone up to 55,47,30,609. In 37 states and Union Territories, 20,20,24,963 persons from the 18-44 Age Group have taken their first dose and a total of 1,61,02,484 people have received their second dose. Meanwhile, 1,03,50,941 healthcare workers have been given the first dose and 81,20,754 workers have been given the second dose.
