With the help of brilliant century of Jonny Bairstow (111), England beat India by 31 runs in the 38th  match pf World Cup-2019 at Edgbaston, England.

Chasing a victory target of 337 runs set by hosts England on Sunday, India were bundled out for 337 in 50 overs, and then they scored another victory in the World Cup by stopping only 306 for five in 50 overs. India have lost to England in the World Cup after 27 years.

For England, opener Jonny Bairstow hit 111 runs in 109 balls. For India, opener Rohit Sharma also scored a brilliant century. For India, fast bowler Mohammad  Shami took 5 wickets for the team. This is England's 5th win in eight matches of the tournament after yesterday's match and now it has 10 points. England have also entered the top four in the points table, while India have suffered their first defeat in seven matches.
