After defeating India in the first test, England is making changes in its playing XI. Dawid Malan is to replaced by Ollie Pope. Dawid Malan failed to make big and scored just 28 runs in the first test and this poor performance lead to an exit of the player from the squad. Ben Stokes is unavailable for the second test as he faces a court hearing this coming week in Bristol. He is replaced by Chris Woakes

The 20-year-old Ollie Pope has started his first-class career very brilliantly. He has played very well in the first class and reached to 1000 runs in just 15 matches. His exceptional performance made selection panel to select him over Dawid Malan for the second test.

India lost first test match to host by 31 runs and one of the main reason behind the defeat is the failure of Indian batsmen. India might make the changes to its playing XI for the second test match. The former captain suggested Indian skipper Virat Kohli to not chop or change the Playing XI for the upcoming tests.

Currently, England has the lead of 1-0 so far in the test series and second test match of five-match series will start from August 9 at Lord’s.
