Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad's Motera Stadium can host the Pink Ball Test match between Team India and England on 24 February. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Jai Shah said on Thursday that the newly constructed Motera Stadium will host five T20 Internationals as well as a pink-ball Test match. The schedule of this series will soon be released by the BCCI.

England is set to visit India for the four-match Test series, which will begin on February 7. This will be followed by a five-match T20 series between the two countries. The board is hopeful that the schedule of the tour will be announced soon. As reported by Sportstar, Kolkata's Eden Gardens remains the front-runner to host the first Test match in a bio-safe environment.

However, BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly had earlier said that Ahmedabad would host the pink ball test, as the series was suspected of mounting suspicion due to rising Corona cases. While launching the GCA indoor facility, Jai Shah made it clear that the series will run as planned. Shah further added, "The Test series will start from February 7 and the day-night Test will be played from February 24 at Ahmedabad (at Motera Stadium)."
