NEW DELHI: Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli (59) and Rishabh Pant (65) clinched the series 3-0 after beating the West Indies by seven wickets in the third and final T20 match on Tuesday. India had won the lead two-match series, while the final match also knocked out the Indian team.

After the Test T20 match, Rishabh Pant was praised by Virat Kohli and described him as the future of Indian cricket. Kohli said that Rishabh Pant is the future of Team India.  He doesn't want to put any pressure on him. At the same time, Virat Kohli wants to give Rishabh Pant more space so that he can show his full potential.

Pant, 21, is seen as the successor to legendary wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has also been subjected to constant criticism. He had faced a lot of criticism and trolling because of poor shots in both earlier matches. However, in the third T20 match, Pant played a brilliant inning with Virat Kohli and made a strong slap in the face of the critics.
