The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has come across big news ahead of the upcoming three-match ODI series against the West Indies starting February 6. In fact, many players have been found to be corona infected here. Under the information received, apart from many players, information about the support staff has also been received. Apart from this, the BCCI has also informed that the All India Senior Selection Committee has added Mayank Agarwal with the Indian team, as three players of the team and one reserve player have been found to be corona infected.

The BCCI has further informed that in the three rounds of the RT-PCR test, four players and three support staff members have been found to be COVID-19 positive. Let me tell you all that for the limited-overs series against the West Indies, the players and support staff were asked to report in Ahmedabad on January 31. After that, everyone had an RT-PCR test and even before leaving the house, everyone was asked to get an RT-PCR test done. Now, recently, the BCCI has issued a press release stating that opener Shikhar Dhawan and fast bowler Navdeep Saini (standby player) had undergone an RT-PCR test on Monday, January 31, the report of which has come positive.

On the other hand, fielding coach T. Dilip and Security Liaison Officer B Lokesh also underwent a corona test on the same day and they have also been found positive. Apart from this, batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad had a corona test on Monday, in which he was negative, but was found positive in the second round of the corona test held on Tuesday. Along with this, the board has also informed that batsman Shreyas Iyer and sports massage therapist Rajiv Kumar have tested positive for corona on February 2, while they came negative in the first two rounds of RT-PCR tests.
