T20: India beat West Indies by 22 runs to seal series, got big success after 8 years

Florida: Indian cricket team has also beaten the West Indies in the second T20 match played in Florida to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Rain and thunderstorms played a spoilsport as India registered a 22-run win (DLS method) against West Indies in the second T20I. This is how India have won both consecutive matches in 2 days. The third and final match of the series will be played in Guyana on Tuesday 6th August.

More importantly, Team India has won the T20 series against the West Indies after eight years on its soil. The last time India won the series was 1-0 (1) in the West Indies in 2011, although India was defeated twice by the West Indies in 2016 and 2017.

 

India was beaten by West Indies by 1-0  in the two-match T20 series at home in 2016. India were beaten 1-0 again at home in 2017. A total of 13 T20 matches have been played between the two teams so far. While the Indian team has won seven, the West Indies have won five matches and have not yielded any result in one match.
