New Delhi: India will receive a second Boeing 777 aircraft today to further secure the visit of the country's President, Vice President, Prime Minister. The US will hand over the second VVIP Boeing 777 aircraft to India today. Equipped with capabilities like the US President's Air Force One, the plane has a variety of features. The speciality of this aircraft is that it does not impact any missile.
India had signed a deal with Boeing Company in 2018 for these special-equipped aircraft. The task of customizing the aircraft was done in the US. It was changed according to the security requirements. This aircraft can fly continuously for 17 hours without refuelling. These aircraft are capable of functioning like a fully flying command centre, as it is equipped with an advanced and secure communication system that provides audio and video communication without being hacked or tapped, just like in the American Air Force One.
The first B777 aircraft specially designed for the President, Vice President and PM's visit arrived in India from the US on October 1. The aircraft was to be handed over to Air India by aircraft manufacturer Boeing in July itself, but it has been delayed two times to reach India.
