India Wins Asia Cup Trophy Sixth Time

 India takeover the Asia Cup  trophy sixth time in the final against Bangladesh in Mirpur last night. Ran tried to stop the final but 15-15 over match started late at night. Bangladesh batted first and establish target of 120/5 which is not sufficient for India to win the trophy.

 Indian bowlers lost their way in the finals after impressive start. Jaspreet Bumrah (1\13) was exceptional at the death while Ravichandran Ashwin(1/14) and Ravindra Jadeja (1/25) also bowled accurately. Although Aashish Nehra (1/33) and Hardik Pandya (1/35) somehow lost their way. From Bangladesh side  Mahmudullah’s slam-bang approach fetched the hosts 42 runs  and Sabbir Rahaman scored 32 off 29 balls.

During second innings India lost their first wicket earlier in form of Rohit Sharma in second over. Dhawan came down when it mattered the most as he hit fours and six adding 94 runs with Virat Kohli   41 not out and lead India to win the Asia Cup trophy. India  chased their target of 121 in 13.5 over with Shikhar Dhawan hitting 60.

In last two over, India required 19 runs with the partisan 25,000 supporters harboured any hopes of a come back, Mahendra Singn Dhoni ( 20 not out in 6 balls) dashed it  with a lethal six over deep mid-wicket off Al-Amin and another terrific blow over deep extra cover before finishing the match with another six.
