US Open Karate Championship proved treasure for India, won 11 medals

Five karate players from Gurugram (Haryana)  have made India proud when they dynamically won total of 11 medals in US Open Karate Championship in Las Vegas which was held from April 12 to 16. Total medals including 3 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze which makes a total of 11 medals to the five stars of Haryana.

2374 contestant from 42 countries has participated in the very prestigious annual Karate Championship. Abhishek Sengupta, Rantej Singh, Harcharan Singh Chowhan, Shefali Agarwal and Sensei Yashpal Singh Kalsi were the members of the Indian team. Yaspal himself is a gold medalist who led the team in the tournament.

I am extremely proud of the Indian team, it's a fantastic feeling to win the medal for our country, and I am sure this will inspire more people back in India,” said Sensei Yashpal Singh Kalsi.
