Sagar Jaglan returned gracefully after trailing 1-6 to win the gold medal in the freestyle 68kg category of the Under-15 Asian Wrestling Championship. India has won 28 medals including 13 gold in the tournament. On the last day of the tournament, the Indian wrestlers in the freestyle category, led by 2019 Cadet World Championship bronze medalist and Deepak Chahal, have won four gold medals.

Chahal won the gold medal in 75 kg, while Vishal (62 kg) from Haryana, Sagar, and Jatin (85 kg) from Madhya Pradesh also won gold medals. Sagar has been the most influential wrestler among Indian wrestlers. He was trailing 1-6 against Bexultanov Yarkhan of Kazakhstan but went on to take a 7-6 bout in the final 20 seconds.
