NEW DELHI: With India formally assuming the G20 Presidency from December 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an article to commemorate the occasion noted that the country will work to promote the universal sense of one-ness.
India will hold the presidency from December 1 through November 30, 2023.

The report quotes him as saying, "The last 17 Presidency of the G20 provided major results -- for ensuring macroeconomic stability, rationalising international taxation, relieving countries of the weight of debt, among many other outcomes.

"These accomplishments will help us in the future as we build on them. India believes that all living things, even inanimate objects, are made up of the same five fundamental elements: earth, water, fire, air, and space, or the "panch tatva." Our physical, social, and environmental well-being depend on harmony between these factors both within and between people. India will seek to advance the idea of humanity as one. Hence, "One Earth, One Family, One Future" is our theme "He wrote.

The Prime Minister declared that during India's G20 presidency, "we shall share India's experiences, learnings, and patterns as prospective templates for others, particularly the developing world."

"Not only will we confer with our G20 colleagues, but also with our fellow travellers in the global South, whose voices are frequently ignored.

Our top priorities will be to restore harmony to our "One Family," repair our "One Earth," and provide hope for our "One Future," he continued.

"Our priorities will focus on healing our 'One Earth', creating harmony within our 'One Family' and giving optimism for our 'One Future'," he added.

"The biggest issues we face today, such as pandemics, terrorism, and climate change, can only be resolved by cooperation rather than conflict. Fortunately, modern technology also equips us with the tools needed to tackle issues that affect the entire human race. Our current enormous virtual worlds serve as examples of how scalable digital technologies are.
