India set to receive first Rafale jet on September 20

New Delhi: India's military strength is going to increase amid tensions between India and Pakistan over the Kashmir issue. In fact, India is going to get its first Rafale fighter jet from France. It will be the first fighter jet to be received by India. Defence Minister Ram Nath Singh and Air Force Chief BS Dhanoa are scheduled to visit France to take it up.

On September 20, the Rafale jet aircraft will be handed over to the Indian Air Force in the present of Rajnath Singh and BS Dhanoa. According to the Indian Air Force, French officials will hand over Rafale aircraft to India in the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Air Force Chief BS Dhanoa and several defence officials.  In fact, in September 2016, India and France entered into a deal to buy 36 Rafale fighter jets. The price of these aircraft is 7187 billion euros.

The Indian Air Force will train 24 pilots to fly rafale jets. After that, the Rafale fighter jets will be ready to fly for the first time to protect the country. All pilots will undergo training in three batches. The Indian Air Force is going to build a contingent of Rafale aircraft at its airbase at Ambala in Haryana and Hashimara in West Bengal.
