Srinagar: An encounter broke out between security forces and militants in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday in which one terrorist was killed. In the meantime, due to the intelligence and wisdom of the army, one terrorist surrendered. The video of the terrorist surrendering is going viral on social media. Chinar Corps of the Indian Army posted the video on its Twitter account. The video shows how an Army officer is asking to surrender a Lashkar terrorist.

On receiving intelligence inputs about the situation of the terrorists, security forces cordoned off Hanjipora area of Shopian district and launched a search operation. Meanwhile, firing took place from both sides following which security forces killed one terrorist. According to police, at the behest of the Army Major, the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist surrendered with an AK-56 rifle during the encounter. The surrendered terrorist has been identified as Sahil Ramzan Dar alias Tahir, a resident of Shopian district. The army officer appealed to Mike and said to the terrorist, 'Tahir, you are getting my voice, listen to me when the voice is coming, I requested you before. I'm warning you after all, requesting, understanding whatever you have to understand it. Put your weapon, raise your hand and surrender'.

The military officer said, 'I guarantee that nothing will happen to you, if you come out with weapons and hands up. Remember your family, remember your friends, and remember your parents. When everyone remembers, the child, my request is to put on my weapons and come out with your hands up. I am ready to take a surrender. I want you to surrender, i know your family, so I want you to surrender. You don't understand what will pass over them, so I'm saying surrender with weapons'. The terrorist surrendered following the army officer's appeal.
