A cadre of the Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) has been nabbed by the Kokrajhar battalion of the Indian Army and Assam Police in a joint operation. The joint was able to recover one foreign-made 7.65 mm pistol, one magazine, 6 rounds of 7.65 mm live ammunition from the possession of the KLO cadre.
The Kokrajhar battalion of the Indian Army and Assam Police conducted the joint operation at around 3 pm on Thursday at Kachugaon. Acting on the input, The operation was carried out on to nab the cadre. The joint team of Army and police personnel from Kachugaon police station under the leadership of Kokrajhar additional superintendent of police, Siddharth Nahar, was able to nab a cadre of KLO.
The KLO cadre has been identified as Pradip Roy alias Changma of Ankorbari village under Dhaligaon police station. He was apprehended by the joint team at 6 pm near the paddy field next to Kalipukhuri in the Salakati area under Kokrajhar district.
