Poonch: The Indian Army killed three intruders, thwarting an infiltration attempt by Pakistan under the guise of firing in the Langet sector along the Line of Control (LoC) of Poonch district. Meanwhile, four intruders managed to escape. The army has not yet captured the corpses of the intruders.

It is not yet clear whether they were terrorist or whether it was Pakistan's bat squad. The army has conducted search operations in many areas in the sector. Also, the incident has not been officially confirmed yet. According to sources, the Pakistani army late Monday night opened a heavy fire on the infiltrators in the Mankot sector, located near the Line of Control of Upazila Mendhar. Indian soldiers gave a befitting reply.

Meanwhile, militants from the Langet area of the sector tried to infiltrate Indian territory from across the border under the cover of firing. During this period, vigilant soldiers of the Indian Army thwarted their infiltration and killed three intruders, while four of their companions fled to the Pakistan border. Security forces have conducted search operations in some areas of the sector due to the possibility of terrorists.
