Security forces encounter in south Kashmir, army killed two terrorists

Srinagar: Two militants killed in an encounter between militants and security forces in Dairo area of Keegam under South Kashmir's Shopian district on Friday morning. IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar has told the media about the encounter that two terrorists have been killed in the encounter, but they have not been identified yet.

Vijay Kumar further said that the identity of the slain terrorists is being identified. He said that a search operation is still going on in the area. Earlier, a joint team of police, army 44RR and CRPF started taking action after specific inputs about some militants hiding in the area. First of all, the search operation was conducted by surrounding the Keegam area.

As soon as the joint team surrounded the suspicious location, the terrorists hiding in the forest started firing on the security forces. After this, the encounter started. Police said that the hidden terrorists started firing on the security forces. Two terrorists were killed in this encounter. Let us tell you that so far this year 39 terrorists have been piled up, including Hizbul Jaish and many big Lashkar commanders.
