It is worth mentioning that even before Diwali, fresh snowfall is visible in the mountainous regions of the country. Lahaul-Spiti and Kullu in Himachal Pradesh received heavy snowfall on Monday. The snowfall affected the traffic on the Manali-Leh highway between Rani Nallah and Rohtang Pass. Traffic on all buses on the Keylong and Manali routes has also been stopped.

Due to snowfall, Shinkula and Baralacha Pass including Rohtang Pass, the tourists and people who are going to Leh are stuck in Darcha. The Shinkula Pass, including the Baralacha Pass, has a snowfall of about three and a half feet. The weather has become extremely cold due to snowfall in the mountains and rain in the valley. So far, half a foot has been laid at Rohtang Pass, 4 inches at Rahaninala and Granfu, two inches at Marhi, Beasanala, Magneto Fold, Rahlafal, Fataru and Gulaba have been covered with light snow.
