New Delhi: The Indian Army has started practising a new war strategy against China at a height of 15,000 feet. This is the first war strategy of its kind. This manoeuvre is being done 100 km from the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh. The exercise is being conducted in several phases in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh to test the capability of the new Integrated Battle Groups (IBGs) adopted by the Army.

Sources have said that the initial plan was to practice in the low-lying areas of Arunachal Pradesh, but that does not serve the army's purpose. The army wants to test the capability of its new strategy in areas where war can be started anytime. These areas are at an altitude of about 15,000 feet, where the Army has advance posts and battalions are deployed to defend against China.

On the other side of the border of Arunachal Pradesh is the autonomous region of Tibet which is currently under Chinese occupation. Sources have said that China is a little worried about this exercise, but it has been discussed at a diplomatic level. This month, Chinese President Xi Jinping is visiting India, in view of this visit and the sensitivity of the matter, it has been decided that this exercise will be done 100 km from the Line of Control.
