New Delhi: The strength of the brave Indian Army is going to increase further. Actually, the Ministry of Defense has given the green signal to purchase of more than 84 thousand crore rupees to make the country's army more powerful. These include a range of equipment including security and surveillance of soldiers. This approval has been given at a time when the tension between the armies of India and China on the border has increased again. Recently there was a clash between the two armies at Tawang in Arunachal.

On Thursday (December 22), a meeting of the Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) was held under the leadership of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. During this, 24 proposals were given Acceptance of Necessity (AON). These proposals include proposals of 6 Indian Army, 6 Air Force, 10 Navy, and 2 Coast Guards, whose total value has been stated as Rs 84 thousand 328 crores. The special thing is that 21 proposals worth Rs 82 thousand 127 crores have been approved for indigenous purchases. According to the Defense Ministry, 'This unique initiative of DAC will not only modernize the armed forces but will also give a substantial boost to the defense industry to achieve the goal of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'. Through these AONs, the Indian Army will get futuristic infantry combat vehicles, light tanks, and mounted gun systems. The approved proposals also include the procurement of ballistic helmets with enhanced protection levels for the soldiers.'

Under this, many things including Naval Anti-ship Missiles, and Multi-Purpose Vessels are included in the Indian Navy. According to the ministry, 'the new range of missile systems, long-range guided bombs, range enhancement kits for conventional bombs and advanced surveillance systems will be inducted into the Indian Air Force'.
