In opening session today, the value of Indian Currency aka rupee has weakened by 5 paise against the US currency.

According to the forex dealers, "month-end demand for the US currency from importers and a lower opening in the domestic equity market put pressure on the rupee."

"A weak dollar overseas however provided some cushion to the domestic currency", they added.

However, the benchmark BSE Sensex down by 150.20 pots, or 0.47 % in early trade today.
