Indian currency zoomed by 18 paise against US dollar

At the Interbank Foreign Exchange the rates of Indian rupee is trading stronger by 18 paisa to 66.84 besides the US dollar in early trade today.

According to the forex dealer said, “A fall in dollar against major world currencies globally, after the US Federal Reserve decided against lifting interest rates, also helped the rupee gain strength”

They further added that, “Besides,increased selling of the dollar by exporters and banks and a higher opening in the domestic equity market supported the rupee.”

However, the Sensex value zoomed by 364.80 pts,or 1.27 % in starting session today.
