Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar from February 13 to 15, aiming to bolster the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and these Gulf nations.

During his visit to the UAE, PM Modi will meet with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. This marks Modi's seventh visit to the UAE since 2014, underlining the importance India places on its friendship with the UAE. The discussions are expected to cover a wide range of topics including trade, investment, defense, security, food, energy, and education cooperation.

PM Modi expressed his excitement about the visit, referring to President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as his brother. Modi also highlighted the significance of inaugurating the first Hindu Mandir in UAE during his visit. Additionally, he will address the Indian community in Abu Dhabi and participate in the World Government Summit in Dubai.

Before departing for Qatar, PM Modi will recall hosting the UAE President in Gujarat for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024. In Qatar, Modi will meet with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to discuss bilateral ties and witness the nation's remarkable growth under his leadership.

India-Qatar relations have witnessed significant progress in recent years, characterized by political exchanges, trade, investment, energy partnerships, and cultural exchanges. The Indian community in Doha, numbering over 800,000, reflects the strong people-to-people ties between the two nations.

PM Modi's visit underscores India's commitment to enhancing cooperation and fostering strong ties with the UAE and Qatar.
