New Delhi: On the first day of December, good news has surfaced for the Modi government on the economic front. In fact, the GST collection in November has been Rs 1,31,526 crore. On an annual basis, the collection GST increased by 25 per cent in the month of November. Earlier, the GDP had registered a good growth of 8.4 per cent during the second quarter of the current fiscal.

In fact, the collection of GST in November has been more than Rs 1.30 lakh crore after October, two consecutive months after the implementation of GST in the country. The GST collection was recorded at Rs 1,30,127 crore in October 2021. The highest collection in the history of GST was a record Rs 1.41 lakh crore in April-2021 GST. The total collection of Rs 1,31,526 crore GST November includes CGST Rs 23,978 crore, SGST Rs 31,127 crore, IGST Rs 66,815 crore (including Rs 32,165 crore collected on import of goods) and cess.

In fact, the GST collection is witnessing an increase due to a boom in business during the festive season in October and November. Earlier, the GST collection in September 2021 was Rs 1.17 lakh crore. According to finance ministry data, the government's GST collection in August was Rs 1.12 lakh crore. 1.16 lakh crore in July 2021. Earlier, the collection GST in the month of June was Rs 92,849 crore.
