New Delhi: Tensions between India and China over LAC have once again reached its peak. China has said that there has been a firing on LAC on Monday night. Since the deadly conflict in the Galwan Valley on June 15, talks have been going on to normalize the situation between the two countries but no results have been achieved so far. Amid these developments, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar is going to visit Russia, where he can also discuss the border dispute with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Monday that the situation at LAC is very fragile. External Affairs Minister Jaishankar has admitted that the present situation at LAC is very serious and there is a need for a very serious and deep dialogue between the two countries at the political level.  The foreign minister further added that the bilateral talks cannot be seen as a departure from the border situation.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is visiting Russia to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's Foreign Ministers' Level Meeting. The tour will take off from September 9 to September 11. This is the first meeting of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Russia since clashes in Ladakh in May.
