The Government of India has designed a system to track migrant laborers, named NMIS i.e. National Migrant Information System. Through this dashboard, central and state governments will be able to track migrants easily. At the same time, the central government says that all the state governments upload the information of migrant workers going to and coming from their place on the dashboard, which will make it very easy to track them.
Information of migrants to be entered in the dashboard
According to officials, state governments will have to upload information such as names, age, mobile number, district and date of travel in this dashboard. Apart from this, migrants can also be tracked through their mobile numbers.
Government will keep an eye on the voice of migrants
The central and state governments will keep a close watch on the movement of migrants through this dashboard. Also, this dashboard will create separate IDs for migrants, making them easier to track. For your information, tell that till now lakhs of migrants have been transported home by train.
