Jammu: Rail service which has been closed for the last three months in the Kashmir Valley will be restored from Monday. After the removal of Section 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the rail service was stopped in view of the possible threats. Kashmir's Divisional Commissioner (Divisional Commissioner) Bashir Ahmad Khan recently issued instructions to railway officials to complete the inspection of railway lines in three days. Trial run of trains was allowed on 10 November and instructions were issued to restore it completely from 11 November.

Rail service was suspended from Baramulla in north Kashmir to Banihal in south Kashmir on 5 August. This decision was taken after the removal of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have come into existence as a union territory since 31 October. At the same time, school-colleges and other educational institutions have been closed in Jammu in view of Ayodhya's decision. According to Jammu division commissioner Sanjeev Verma, wherever necessary, the rules governed with the deployment of forces will remain in force, but it will not have any effect on normal life.

The ban was imposed under Section 144 of the CrPC in the newly created Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir from Friday midnight as a precaution in view of the verdict of the apex court. Sanjeev Verma told the press that after being closed on Saturday, all educational institutions including schools and colleges will re-open on Monday. He has said that examinations in schools falling in Winter Zone will be conducted along with examinations of other areas.
