Sputnik-V may get nod as vaccine shortage in India

New Delhi: The increasing case of coronavirus in the country has been out of control and now no other weapon is visible other than vaccination. In such a situation, everyone's eyes are set on the corona vaccine. Right now only two vaccines are being used in India, but if sources are to be believed, their number may increase by July-August.

If enough stock of vaccine is available by July-August, then there will be plenty of doses available for everyone to apply for the vaccine. Please tell that at this time, vaccine trials are going on for those above 12 years of age in India. At the same time, Russia-made Sputnik V is likely to get approval soon. It is being built in India with the help of Dr. Reddy Labs. Subject Expert Committee has a meeting today, in which there can be a discussion on giving the green signal to Sputnik V.

If it is approved, India can get big stock soon and it can help to clear the complaints that are coming due to lack of vaccine. Let me tell you that the cervix of Serum Institute, Bharat Biotech's covaxine is being used in India right now. Both vaccines are being applied in different states. But there are also reports of depletion of vaccine stocks from many states, in such a continuous appeal that the use of other vaccines should also be approved.
