Indian citizen violates 14 days of quarantine guidelines in Malaysia, arrested

On Thursday, a Malaysian court jailed an Indian man for five months. The 57-year-old lives in Malaysia and owns a restaurant in the northern state of Kedah. This person violated a mandatory 14-day home quarantine directive when he returned from India in July. In which four other people have been convicted by the court. He was also fined 12,000 ringgit ($ 2,864) by the Alor Setter magistrate's court. The hearing took place in Kedah Hospital, where the accused was undergoing treatment.

Officers had said that the man's first test came negative and he violated the quarantine directive, infecting other people. It was reported that his second test report came positive and he met dozens of people, including family members of the man, restaurant workers and customers, were found positive. 

Malaysia has controlled the spread of Corona. After which, from May onwards, the steps of strict lockdown have been reversed, but a warning has been given.
