Markets open in green as Sensex notches up 153 points

New Delhi [India], Oct 16 (NT): The market on Tuesday opened in green as earlier trade with BSE Sensex notched up by 153 points or 0.4 per cent to 35,018. On the other hand Nifty Index hovered around 10,554 in the pre-opening trade. Meanwhile Indian rupee also gained 0.09 paise with a value of 73.92 per dollar. Majority of the sectors piled up by BSE were trading higher led by the S&P BSE Auto Index's one per cent yield.

Here are top gainers under Sensex

-Asian Paints was up by 2.61 per cent

-IndusInd Bank gained 2.39 per cent.

-Adani Ports also notched up by 2.24 per cent.

Under Nifty, the companies which recorded gains are –

 -India bulls Hsg. Fin and Bajaj Finance, among others and their shares were up by 2.70 per cent and 2.13 per cent, respectively.

-Crude oil prices in the international market also rose to $81.92 barrel after lowering of global growth forecast by International Monetary Fund(IMF).

 -The rise in the price of crude oil has also unfavorably affected the rupee. The price of the crude oil has risen 30.23 per cent from 66.57 level since January 2018.
