New Delhi: The country has been in heat and humidity for the last one or two days after incessant rains over the past several days. But it is reported here that once again, due to rain, people are going to get relief from the heat. In many parts of the country, the Met department has issued heavy rain alert for the next 5 days.

According to media reports, the Met department has said that torrential rain may occur during the next 12 hours in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Vidarbha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Telangana, coastal Andhra, coastal Kata, Kerala, Rayalaseema, Konkan and several areas. Due to low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, the monsoon winds could become a new system during the next 24 hours. Due to this system, the monsoon is likely to return 15-20 days late from its estimated moment.

It is reported that the prices of vegetables will reach the sky due to rain. In particular, the prices of onion and tomato are likely to reach Rs 100 per kilo. At the same time, the Met department said it is likely to have heavy rains in west Bengal, Sikkim and various parts of north-east India during the next 3-4 days. For two weeks, new monsoon winds from both bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea will continue from ganga plains (Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal) to Rajasthan.
