New Delhi: A pressure zone is being formed on the northeastern parts of the Bay of Bengal. Along with this, the area of cyclonic winds also remains which will soon become more powerful. According to the information given by the Meteorological Department (IMD), due to the active form of troughs on the western coasts, there is a possibility of rain in many states of South India including Odisha, Bengal, Karnataka and Kerala.

Flood-like conditions persist due to heavy rains in the states of South and North East. Due to heavy rains in the last few days, there has been a lot of destruction in some parts of Karnataka. The situation in Udupi in Karnataka is very serious due to rain. NDRF teams are engaged in relief and rescue work. Rivers are in spate in Karnataka. Meanwhile, according to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains in the coastal areas of Karnataka for the next 2 days.

According to the Director-General of Mumbai Meteorological Department (IMD), It is likely to rain heavily on September 21 in parts of South Konkan. There may be heavy rains in Mumbai and Thane. The Meteorological Department forecasts moderate to very heavy rainfall in Mumbai and Thane on Tuesday.
