New Delhi: Given the pace at which the monsoon is progressing this year, it is believed that delhi will have rain ahead of schedule. In fact, the monsoon usually hits Delhi around June 27. But this time it is expected to reach western Uttar Pradesh from June 13-14. That is, delhiites are not left with much time to get relief from the heat.

In the next few days, the monsoon will be active in all the remaining areas of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh. Around 14 states including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Telangana are expected to receive heavy rain in 4-5 days. According to the Met department, after June 10, the monsoon will hit eastern India and adjoining central India, especially in the Ganga region of Odisha and West Bengal, followed by heavy rains. In addition, heavy rain is expected in Bengal and Bihar on June 11- 12, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh on June 11-12.

The Bay of Bengal is becoming the first low pressure area of this monsoon. As a result, monsoon will enter parts of Odisha, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. On the other hand, there is an area of cyclonic winds on the coast of southern Gujarat. The impact is likely to bring heavy rain between June 11-13 in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, South Gujarat, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
