New Delhi: The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated with the end of Ramadan, the holy month of followers of Islam. The fasts kept by the Musli community for 30 days will end. Muslim communities all over the world celebrate this festival with full fervor and gaiety.

According to the Islamic calendar, Eid-ul-Fitr is the first and only day in Shawwal, the tenth month after Ramadan, in which Muslims are not allowed to fast. The day and date of Eid may change according to the different time zones and the appearance of the moon. However, this time due to the spread of Coronavirus, the way to celebrate this festival may change.

During the ongoing lockdown across the country, people would consider it appropriate to stay in the house with their family due to imprisonment in the homes of the people and following social distancing. People all over the world can celebrate this festival by staying in homes and expressing gratitude to each other. Due to no moon sighting in Saudi Arabia on Friday, Eid festival will be celebrated in Gulf countries on Sunday 24 May.
