89 ONGC employees still missing during Touktae, Indian Navy searching operation underway

New Delhi: The Indian Navy has said that 89 ONGC employees of the P305 Barge, which sank near Mumbai due to cyclone Tauktae, are still missing. The Navy has said that 184 of the 273 people on it have been rescued so far. People working on two 89ny barges and an oil rig are safe.

'By Wednesday morning, 184 P305 employees were rescued and INS left for Kochi and INS Kolkata Mumbai port," a Navy spokesman said. "Rescue and relief operations are underway from INS Teg, INS Betwa, INS Beas, P8I aircraft and seaking helicopters'. The spokesman said the Navy and Coast Guard had rescued all 137 employees of the GAL constructor's barge on Tuesday.

At the same time, 196 people working on SS-3 barges and 101 people posted on Sagar Bhushan Oil Rig are also safe. The official informed that barges were pulled from ships of ONGC and SCE and brought to safety. Another ship INS sword is also deployed there for help. The spokesman said three barges and an oil rig were diverted into the sea on Monday due to a storm Tauktae on which 707 people were working. Meanwhile, Gujarat and union territory of Ilaque Diu have been devastated to assess which PM Narendra Modi will visit these areas on Wednesday.
