New Delhi: Born in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, Priyanca Radhakrishnan has become the first Indian-origin citizen to become a minister in New Zealand. Priyanca has been included in her cabinet by Jasinda Ardern. On receiving the ministerial post, Priyanca expressed happiness and thanked everyone. She said, "Thank you very much to everyone for taking the time to call me and message to wish me all the best."

 41-year-old Priyanca Radhakrishnan was born in Chennai. However, her family is a permanent resident of Paravoor in Kerala. Priyanca first went to Singapore to study in school. She later moved to New Zealand to pursue further education. During this, Priyanca Radhakrishnan kept working for those people, who had no one to listen to their voice. She also did a lot of work for women victims of domestic violence and harassed migrant workers.

Priyanca Radhakrishnan became elected MP for the first time in September 2017. In the year 2019, he was made Parliamentary Private Secretary (Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Minister of Ethnic Community) for the ethnic communities. Let us tell you that Priyanca Radhakrishnan is the leader of the Labor Party since the year 2004. He is one of the five new faces whom PM Jasinda Ardern has given a place in his cabinet. Priyanca currently lives in Auckland with her husband.
