New Delhi: Central Railway has given great relief to the passengers regarding the refund of canceled tickets. An official of the Central Railway said that the refund of canceled tickets can not be taken from the counter for the next 6 months from the date of travel, but not till June 30. This statement from the railway has been given in view of the increased crowd on railway counters for refunds.

In fact, earlier the Central Railway had tweeted that the refund of tickets for cancellation of trains during lockdown can be taken till June 30. For this, the railways had provided refund facility online and from railway counters. But due to the cancellation of lakhs of tickets, the crowd of those who took refunds at railway counters was also increasing continuously. This was in violation of the guidelines issued to avoid the coronavirus and social distance was not being followed. Therefore, the Railways has now made it clear that refund of cancell tickets can be taken till 6 months after the date of travel. So do not rush on the counters of the Musafir Railway in a hurry.

At the same time, the Vijayawada railway division has adopted the best method to protect passengers. Here, tickets are being checked without contacting the passengers. Railway Assistance is checking the tickets of passengers remotely using computer-assisted camera and monitor. Not only this, but the hassle of going to the passengers for thermal screening has also been removed. Here thermal screening of passengers is being done using cameras mounted in door frame metal detectors.
